◆ About the Mobile Ad Awards
First established in 2002, the Mobile Ad Awards is the Japan's first international competition dedicated to promoting advertising communication and marketing activities using mobile phones. The Awards honor excellence in expression and design in advertising or marketing distributed or published via mobile phones
◆ Awards Categories
[Ad Creative Category]
Attention will be given to expressiveness and design in mobile ads that incorporate pictures, including picture, panel, and push-format ads
[Campaign Site Category]
Attention will be given to aspects of design, content, and usability for mobile campaign sites that have been developed to promote a campaign or sales of a specified product or service.
[Marketing Category]
Consideration will be given to works applying special marketing methods, brand appeal, virals, communication with users, or demonstrating innovative value creation or showing strong results.
◆ Screening Process
Applications will be reviewed by the Mobile Ad Awards Selection Committee, composed of leaders from a variety of related industry sectors, including academia, advertising agencies, creative, SP, marketing, and more.

◆ Application Process
Consideration will be given to examples of advertising, campaign sites or marketing carried out either in Japan or overseas via Internet-enabled mobile phones (i.e., browsing phones) between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008.
・Applicants should confirm approval of the advertising sponsor prior to submitting their entries
・Related URLs should be kept live and accessible via the Internet until July 31, 2008.
・Awards will be granted to the advertising sponsor.
・Competition entry is free of charge.
・Revisions to applicant sites/works submitted are allowed via the Internet until April 14th. In order make revisions, applicants will require the user name and password assigned to them upon making their application, so please be sure to store carefully your user ID and password.
・Applications cannot be withdrawn after April 18th.
・Application materials will not be returned.
・Please be aware that after the conclusion of the competition, winning submissions will be the subject of study groups, lectures, as well as special compilations on CD-ROM, and additional information in foreign languages may be required.
・During the Ad Awards submission period, any violations of the awards regulations or ethics guidelines by an applicant that are deemed inappropriate by the Mobile Ad Awards may result in the withdrawal of the applicant’s submission.

In addition, please include the URL of the campaign site browseable on a mobile phone.
[Marketing Category]
Applicants must submit an Entry Form as well as a completed Planning Summary Form.
In addition, please attach an image of the work being entered (in .jpg or .gif file format) or supplement the information provided with a link to the site offered for consideration, as these too will be evaluated by the Screening Committee.
